About the event

Razom collaborates with the most impactful English-language media outlet in Ukraine — the Kyiv Independent — to organize a screening tour of the documentary in the US. This an opportunity for you to meet the team behind the film and hear first-hand accounts.

UPROOTED is a documentary about the abduction, deportation and forcible transfer of Ukrainian children by the Russian Federation. The film tracks and investigates thirty cases of abduction of Ukrainian children in the occupied city of Mariupol and features interviews with victims of the crime. It sheds light on the most complicated war crime against Ukrainian children and unpacks the complexity of the systemic Russian policy of forcible deportations.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the team behind the documentary, so make sure to stay afterwards for a conversation!

Location: Arizona State University, Thunderbird School of Global Management. 401 N 1st St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 (Room 331)

Time: Screening will begin at 5:00pm

This event is in collaboration with Cactus and Tryzub, Thunderbird School of Global Management, and Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations.
