Join the Ukrainian Society of Arizona for a hands-on Ukrainian Pysanky Workshop and learn the traditional art of decorating Easter eggs using the centuries-old wax-resist technique known as pysanky (писанки).
Pysanky are one of Ukraine’s most beloved folk traditions, with each symbol and color carrying meaning connected to nature, renewal, protection, and hope. During this workshop, participants will be guided through the process of creating their own pysanky while learning about the cultural history behind the designs.
Whether you are new to pysanky or looking to deepen your appreciation for Ukrainian traditions, this workshop offers a welcoming space to learn, create, and celebrate Ukrainian culture together.
This event is hosted by the Ukrainian Society of Arizona and shared here to help connect the community with Ukrainian cultural events happening across the Valley.
👉 A separate pysanky workshop is also being held in Tucson, shared on our calendar for those closer to the Valley.
